Based in the unlikely setting of an old Prisoner of War Camp hut, Weardale Cheese makes white and blue artisan cheeses. Their range of hard and semi-soft cheese includes Weardale, Prince Bishop, St. Cuthbert and Bonny Moor Hen. The milk used to make the cheese comes from two local dairy farms, in Crook and Hunwick.
Village Farm is a family dairy farm run by Neil & Carol Peacock and their son Joe. The herd consists of 120 cows all born and raised on the farm. We are passionate about herd welfare, which ensures high quality milk, and we know each cow by name and family history.
We are a small cheesemaker based on our farm in Teesdale , Co. Durham. The cows milk we use is supplied by a farm situated only a mile away, we pasteurise it and use it to produce our range of hand-made cheeses. These include: 'Teesdale Blue', 'White Hilton' and flavoured Curd cheeses.
Northumberland Cheese Company has been making cheese for over 25 years now. We currently make over 15 different cheeses which include cow, goat and sheep milk cheeses. We source all of our milk from local farms in Blagdon and Cumbria. In 2010 we created our first blue cheese called Blagdon Blue which is proving to be very popular.
We are a family-run, County Durham-based business, with 3 generations of experience in the local dairy industry. 95% of our milk is collected from within 25 miles of the dairy and we take great pride in working with some of the North East's best dairy farmers, who we know and trust and who work to the highest standards of animal welfare.
