Clervaux Trust is a charity helping to build a sustainable future for young people with special educational needs. Based on a farm near Darlington, its craft and land-based programme offers activities which are practical, therapeutic, social and educational.
Free range hen, duck and goose eggs, and outdoor reared pork, sold at local farmers markets and local retail
outlets. Also a walled garden where salad and vegetable crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers and lettuce are grown.
Leechmire Farm is a family owned farm growing a variety of winter vegetables including brussel sprouts, swede, carrot, turnip, kale, leeks, celeriac, beetroot, cauliflower, and cabbage.
Abundant Earth is a workers co-op, with 15 acres of land called Cooke's West Wood Farm near Broompark, 2 miles from Durham city. We are committed to minimising fossil fuel use, so growing is done by hand and we have plenty of volunteer opportunities. Our main business is growing veg in our one acre garden, where we also pick n pack every Thursday.
