A new green venture working towards an eco friendly way of living with organic, local and green thinking at the heart of everything we do. Bread and pizzas are made daily in our wood fired oven, and we serve simple rustic dishes made with local, organic and seasonal ingredients, all cooked fresh to order using traditional cooking methods.
The Teesdale Hotel is a family run, 18th Century coaching inn located in the quaint stone built village of Middleton-in-Teesdale, specializing in local fare and hospitality. It is set in the stunning countryside of Upper Teesdale in the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
In 2005 we, the Davis family, moved to beautiful Weardale and bought the Black Bull Inn at Frosterley. We had noticed how few traditional pubs were left across Britain and so we decided to create our own based on OUR idea of what a real pub should be like.
Headlam Hall is a 17th century country house set in beautiful gardens and surrounded by open countryside. This family owned and run hotel has 40 bedrooms, a restaurant, ballroom, meeting rooms, a luxury spa and a 9 hole golf course. All our red meat is reared from farms in County Durham, and a local farmer also rears some of the lambs on our own land at Headlam.
Set in 30 acres of simply stunning countryside the Black Horse boasts its very own 10 acres of on site vegetable gardens and orchards, offering its customers a rare “field to plate” dining experience. From growing our own produce to sourcing the finest wines, our vision for the future is just beginning.
